Through a Website

Work at Home Resources > Selling Stuff Online

If you open your own online store to sell your stuff, you may find that you don't get enough traffic to make sales, or the items that you have are used and random enough that they do not all fall into the same category. By selling your stuff on a website that is highly trafficked you increase the chance of making a sale. One site that we recommend, that is within the top twenty-five sites with the most traffic, is Amazon.com The great thing about selling things online through Amazon is

that it is so well known. Listing an item on Amazon is free and they will keep it listed for 2 months. Once an items sells they take $0.99 and a percentage (depending on the kind of item) of the cost as their commission. If you

don't sell an item that you listed in 60 days they'll unlist it free of charge. Read Amazon's Participation Agreement to fully understand the process. After signing up for Amazon read our tips for selling on Amazon.

Although they are known for their online auctions eBay offers an express section that consist of set prices for anyone who does not want to deal with auctions. An eBay company, Half.com is auction free as well and specializes in selling books, movies, video games and music.

Having an account for eBay automatically gives you an account for Half.com and vice versa so after sign up you can read the tips for ebay selling and tips for selling on half.com.
