Some
quick tips for listing on Etsy!
|
*
Enhance Your Product by Using Five Pictures
Take pictures that show
detail of your items. By using five pictures per item you'll be
able to catch it from different angles allowing people to see all
aspects of it. For less than $10 you
can buy a disposable camera and get the pictures put on a CD. You'll
be able to sell 24 items (using only one picture per item) per each
camera. Investing in a digital camera can be a good idea if you
have a lot of items to sell. Not to mention they are great because
you can take lots and lots of pictures of your children.
*
Save Money on Packing Supplies
Visit stores on
freight day and ask for any empty boxes and packing supplies that
they are just going to throw away. Also
keep in mind padded envelopes are a great alternative to boxes,
and are much cheaper to buy when you purchase them in bulk.
*
Know The Market
Look into the items for sale that
are similar to the ones that you intend to make and sell. If the
"Shop Info" is not doing well then you may reconsider
making that particular item, unless it is something that you are
passionate about.
* Be
Unique
It really will help you with your sales if your item(s) are something
unique or uncommon on Etsy. You will have less competition and will
be offering something that is hard to find increasing your chance
of a sale.
* Make Something That You Enjoy Making
If you are truly passionate
about something and you make it well, then it is something that
you should make.
*
Have Everything Ready For an Order
By
making sure you have packing supplies
and the items ready you'll be able to ship things quickly which
can help you receive good reviews. That will help people decide
if they want to buy from you.
