Medical Billing and Coding

Often the training of a medical biller and medical coder go hand in hand. The medical biller sees that the patient and the health insurance company is billed for the procedures by the health care provider. The medical coder primary focus is on converting a medical procedure, symptoms or diagnosis into specific codes to submit a claim for reimbursement. Both of these professions can be done at home and often the people who have these professions are certified in both fields. As long as the hospital that you would work for uses a system that is compatible in your local area, you could work from home as a medical biller or medical coder.
