Host Gator Web Hosting Review

When I first started a website I didn't know the first thing about hosting. Originally I had designed my website and was able to upload it on a friend's server. During this time I was able to establish an email for my website and uploaded more than 100 pages on the server, of course all of this was with the help of my friend. When it came time to put my website on another server and pay for a hosting plan I began researching all of my options.

My first thought was www.GoDaddy.com as I used them to register domain names and was quite pleased with them. However reviews of them as far as hosting were less than perfect. After reading reviews of many different hosting providers I discovered that one website in particular kept coming up with good reviews and recommendations. Upon checking out the details of their hosting packages I was quite pleased, and surprised, to see that they would accommodate all that I needed and were in the monthly budget that I had for hosting, a very reasonable price, and although at the time I only had one website I could have unlimited sites on this server, the possibilities for making money on the web from websites suddenly became endless.

Upon purchasing my first month, that is right Host Gator only requires that you purchase at least a month's worth of hosting, of course if you want to purchase a larger amount they will give you a discount, I had somewhat idea of what it would mean to change servers. Well I was a bit out of my element, so I decided to call the Host Gator customer service. My problems were not because of them in anyway but I hoped that they could walk me through the change and they did more than that. They walked me though changing servers, setting up an email for the site, suggested which FTP program to use and then walked me through setting that up and getting all of my images and pages uploaded on the server. During the phone call the customer service associate was amazingly patient not only with the time that it took to get everything set up but I was also minding a toddler at the time and at one point received another phone call, which I of course politely ended quickly but the fact that they didn't mind that I switched over was great. At the end of the phone call I was relieved to have everything up and running and thankful for all of the help, I asked the name of the operator so I could leave feedback about the call.

I would strongly recommend Host Gator for hosting for anyone, their up time is amazing, very reliable and their customer service, that is 24/7 available, definitely goes the extra mile to get you set up quickly and properly.
